Author Guidelines

General Author Instructions

The Industrial Engineering Management Journal (JIEM) accepts manuscripts in the form of research reports (Original article research papers) in the field of Industrial Engineering. It focuses on applied science issues in industrial engineering, engineering management, and ergonomics, which have not been or are being processed for publication in another journal. Manuscripts are written in Indonesian, except Abstracts must be in Indonesian and English for submission.

All manuscripts must be submitted to the Editorial Office of the Industrial Engineering Management Journal using Online Submission at the E-Journal postal address here, where the author registers as an author online. If the author has problems with online submissions, please contact the Editorial Office at the following email: jiem@umi.ac.id

Article Writing Templates and Guidelines, as follows:

Manuscripts must consist of the following components of scientific articles (subheadings in sequence), namely: (a) Article Title, (b) Author Name (without title), (c) Author Affiliation Address, (d) Abstract and Keywords, (e) Introduction, (f) Methodology, (g) Results and Discussion, (h) Conclusion, (i) Acknowledgments (if any), and (j) References.
The manuscript can be written in Indonesian or English with a maximum of 15 pages, including references. The manuscript should be written according to this manuscript template in a ready-to-print form.
According to the manuscript template, the manuscript should be typed with A4 (210 x 297 mm) and written using Garamond font.
Each figure should be given a title (Figure Caption) and placed at the bottom of the figure. The figure can be printed clearly (font size, resolution, and line size). Figure, table, and diagram/schema should be placed according to the column between a group of texts or in the middle of the page.
The conclusion contains a summary of the description of the results and discussion regarding the purpose of the research. Suggestion for further research is based on research findings that have been discussed. Suggestions can refer to practical action, the development of new theories and/or studies.
If any, acknowledgment can be given to the parties who provide research grants or financial assistance and support, the support of sections and institutions, or to the professionals who contributed to the report's preparation.
For the bibliography, Harvard style is written according to the rules of writing. All references used in writing in the bibliography are numbered alphabetically, not by the appearance in the article.
References used are the primary source in research articles in journals or research reports, books, or articles that are linked from the official source. To maintain the consistency of referencing, quoting, and writing a bibliography, we suggest using standard reference applications such as Endnote, Mendeley, Zotero, and RefWorks.
